Guests are welcomed in a country court, with two large and comfortable houses – Dream 1 and Dream 2 – overlooking meadows, fields of crops, vineyards and clumps of woodland.

We are in Ponti sul Mincio in the protected area of the Mincio River Park, lying among the Morainic Hills of Lake Garda (just a few minutes away), on the border between Lombardy and the Veneto, not far from the art towns of Mantua and Verona.

Numerous trekking and cycle trails and panoramic itineraries even for cars branch off from here, among nature, art, folklore and gastronomic traditions.

In the court, where there is also the home of the owner, the guests have the use of two large restructured houses – Dream 1 and Dream 2 – both perfectly equipped for every holiday requirement of families, small groups of friends, or single persons.

Each house looks onto its own garden and has a large living area with a fully equipped kitchen and a convenient parking area. The rooms have a private bathroom, an air-conditioning/heating system, satellite TV, free wi-fi access.

A short distance from the Country Dream court lies the River Mincio Cycleway, one of the longest and most beautiful cycle paths in the North of Italy. Completely paved, it covers a distance of 43.5 km from Peschiera del Garda to Mantua, in the green surroundings of the Park nature reserve, without encountering roads with motor vehicles.

From Country Dream, visitors can reach Peschiera del Garda in 30 minutes by bicycle or one hour on foot.

At the same distance, in the opposite direction, towards Mantua, lies Borghetto sul Mincio, one of the most picturesque old towns in Italy.

A 30-minute cycle ride leads to the Parco Sigurtà, one of the largest and most scenic gardens in the peninsula, thanks to the extraordinary variety of plants and flowers of every colour, species and origin.

The area around Country Dream also offers interesting itineraries by car, among nature, art and gastronomic delights.

Just a few minutes away by car, or even by bicycle, are the fine bathing resorts of the Lake Garda Riviera.

The picturesque locations in the territory of the Morainic Hills are worth exploring, for the beauty of their landscape and the wealth of artistic and historic testimony, among medieval castles and churches and monuments to great events in European history.

The medieval castles itinerary is fascinating, torching Ponti Sul Mincio, the municipality where the Country Dream court is located, Monzambano, Castellano Lagusello, with its castle reflected in a picturesque little lake, Valeggio, with its gastronomic specialities and romantic Borghetto, lying on the banks of the River Mincio. Of notable interest for lovers of art and history are the medieval parish church and the villa of the Gonzaga family at Cavriana, the Risorgimento sites of Solferino and Castiglione delle Stiviere, where the idea of the Red Cross was conceived and where there are countless monuments and Renaissance reminders of the presence of the noble Gonzaga family from Mantua.

Half an hour’s drive away are the art towns of Mantua and Verona, while Venice or Milan can be reached in a little more than an hour.

From early spring to late autumn, all these locations and others a short distance away propose events, feasts and folklore activities with historic re-enactments in costume and tasting of typical products and local traditional gastronomic specialities, including wines from the hills, filled pasta, risotto, preserved meats.
